Commercial Description:
The 3MONTS beer : A wonderful return to nature, with its flavour of yesteryear, this is a beer that was drawn from the wooden metal-circled barrels to fill so many mugs in our Flanders bars! Its bitterness comes from our hop fields scattered throughout the region. Brewed by infusions, it is an old-fashioned rising beer made with strong and hearty Flemish hops. Fermented using top yeasts, like the barrel brewers of yore and clamped like bonderised barrels.

Dark gold, with a thin white head. Aroma is apple, lightly yeasty, light hoppiness, a nice fruit boquet. Taste is lightly alcoholic, pale malts, light hoppiness, some yeast showing, and a cinnamon like accent. Spritzy body.

Grote fles 0,75l gekregen van Sandra nadat ze in Frankrijk was geweest. Goed bier, beetje sterk voor zo’n fles. Smaak goed. Kun je gerust nog eens krijgen en drinken.

Light yellow, small head, lots of carbonation, wheaty-yeasty aroma with a hint of fruit, a lemony taste with a hint of the alcohol behind it, refreshing and slightly hoppy, enjoyable! PS, the bottle was a bit of an awkward one to open!

Bottle at Waagstuk, Antwerp, Belgium Blond, clear body. Creamy off-white head. Good lace. Aroma of hops, yeasts, cereals, caramel. Quite ok aroma. Moderately bitter, lightly sweet flavour. A strong but more tasteful pils. Not very special, but quite nice.

Bomber. My first time with this one. A beautiful beer. Brilliant golden color with a big foamy head. Not a particularly strong flavor but it’s clean and crisp with a nice hop bitterness. I would expect this to have a bit more flavor with 8.5% alcohol. Still nice. I’ll pick this up again.

Massive, billowy, frothy white head lasts well over a rich golden-straw hued body. The lacing left behind by this meringue like head is quite inviting. Wonderful initial aroma of dank hops in the vein of wet, mown grass and flowers. To a lesser degree, aromatics resembling perfume and pepper assist the hoppy nose. Stylishly yeast nose full of basement cobwebs and old library books. Malt is slight but clean, with the solid aroma of fresh baguette and toasted bread. Some esters of lemon and melons also appear, but this is mainly about the lively hops. The flavour begins lightly to moderately sweet, with a multi-grain bread taste. From mid-palate back the flavour absolutely explodes with spicy hops; pepper, lemon, grass and flowers overwhelm. There is some alcohol as well, but its bite fits nicely with all of the spicy hops. Medium bodied with a slick, almost velvety, texture and firm carbonation. Very refreshing and extremely fresh tasting. The malt and yeast are reserved in this BdG, but it all works well together. Thank the gods I found a decent beer here finally. 75cl bottle, Duvel tulip, bbe 31.07.08.
