Sep 6, 2006 Verre de dégustation, provenant d’une bouteille de 750 ml, dégusté au Festival Bières et Saveurs 2006 (Chambly, QC). Arôme: Odeur d’agrumes avec une pointe d’épices. Apparence: La couleur est blonde avec une faible densité de bulle. Présence d’une fine dentelle sur le verre. Saveur: Goût d’houblons avec une pointe de banane et de vanille. Durée moyenne de l’arrière goût. Palette: Le corps est moyen avec une texture minérale. Forte effervescence en bouche. Légère présence d’agrumes et d’alcool en arrière goût. (Rating #621)

Aug 23, 2006 reads flanders golden ale. gold colored with a white fizzy effervescent head. aroma of citrus similar to a siason. flavor is sweet with some hops and yeast. light-medium bodied and very carbonated.

Aug 16, 2006 Updated: Sep 9, 2006Man, I hope I come across a decent bottle of this some day. So far I’ve had two, and they’ve both produced something sub-standard. However, I’m still going to rate it on that as I gave it a second chance at least. Poured a golden orange yellow with a loose white head that didn’t last at all. Had a lemony pilsenerish aroma with a touch of wet dog. Taste was very dry and spicy. The alcohol was overly present, and it had a bitter finish. Nowhere near the smoothness I expected from this beer. I’ll keep trying though.

Aug 13, 2006 Updated: Nov 6, 2009Poured from the bottle, very clear copper gold with a little carbonation and a large thick frothy white head - looks inviting. A clean and strong malty aroma with peppery notes and a yeasty follow through. Only slightly vinous (at 8.5%), with a strong yeast and malt flavours with that pepper also dominant. The long finish is slightly sour, but also a little creamy and clings to the tongue.

Aug 2, 2006 Poured to a golden color with thick white head that dissipated by mid-glass and left little lacing. Ironically, this is the first beer I’ve had where the head on the beer inside the bottle was bigger than that in the glass. Aroma was grassy floral hops. The flavor was more of the same, but a malty sweetness crept in to tame this down and leave a well-balanced, smooth finish. I’m not sure why this brewer chose to secure their beer with a cork and huge metal staple, but the 3 Monts made removing it worth the work.

Jul 29, 2006 Tart ,barnyard hay grassey aroma, smooth, slightly fruit sweet taste, really didn’t notice the alcohol to much,though I did feel a buzz coming on. A little spiceness,just a touch of bitterness at the end. Satisfying,but cant get excited about it
