The white creamy head has a long duration and stays quite long. The body is pale yellow and lively. The first taste is a little bit sweet, then it gets more sour. Some spices. The aftertaste is a little bit bitter with a long duration. The body is dry and creamy with a lively carbonation and light. eManu (200), Brussels, Belgium

| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | May 29, 2009 75cl bottle. Clear sparkling golden, dishwashing foamy pale head. Sweet mixed fruits nose, lagery herbs, little sugar, grain and metallic notes. Dull, alcoholic flavor, little malts, sweetness. I’d like to see even that same fruitiness here, now it’s totally empty. Light to medium bodied, strong carbonation. Almost malt liquory mess in a fancy bottle, wouldn’t belive this being such a classic. jeremytoni (1108), Swedesboro, New Jersey, USA

| 1.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 6/20 | May 7, 2009 750 ml. bottle. Pours a hazy yellow with a foamy, white head. Skunky Heineken in the nose. Light grainy and corn smell behind the skunk. The palate has a metallic note, candy sugar, grain, a little mustiness, fusel alcohol, and a little dirt. Tastes like a sweet, over carbonated malt liquor. Very high carbonation with a medium-light mouthfeel. Short, grainy finish. I paid $9 for this and would have been better off getting a $1.99 bottle of Mickey’s. GreenWall (53), Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada

What looks like a big exciting yeastcake is actually just precipated chill haze - no fun. Pours flaky yellow with a soda-pop fizz giving way to a resilient silk film. First hit of aroma is - slight skunk. Oh. So this is a Bière de Garde? I thought it would be like a Saison, but there’s no fruit just some toast and lots of alcohol. Colt-ish. Ah well. No funk in mine, a little too boring. Oh, and now I’m drunk. This is just great.
