Mildly sweet - very much like wine. Notes of grapes & citrus. Very bubbly and clear. Would like to try again sometime to compare. CaptainCougar (5530), Rockville, Maryland, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jan 26, 2004 Pours a deep golden with a puffy white head and some finely suspended sediment. Grapy sweetness on top of a pilsener-like aroma. Starts semi- sweet and bitter with a light fruitiness. Finishes more bitter and dry with a decent semi-sweet complexity. Not a bad Biere de Garde, but it just doesn't have the complexity I prefer. Light, crisp, and clean flavor makes this enjoyable nonetheless. Yankovitch333 (612), Chesapeake City, Maryland, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jan 15, 2004 Tasted like a good Heineken. Poured a nice golden color, with a thick white head. Citrusy and fruity. Not bad. Not great. I swear this was just Heineken, but good. 21iceman40 (1731), vienna, West Virginia, USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jan 5, 2004 Golden colour. No sediment. Top fermented beer with Flemish hops. Alcohol content is not intrusive. Crisp & clean. Quite pleasant, but nothing exceptional. Bottled, France, December 2003. DaSilky1 (2024), San Diego, California, USA

My sample was brought back directly from belgium...am i missing something..i must be..because well......it poured a clear yellow color with dancing bubbles abound..a big fluffy white head sat above and slowly phazed to sticky lace and thin sheets of suds..light flowery aroma with a faint lemon atmosphere and lagery tones...a bit grassy in flavor but...am i missing something..has my palate gone on vacation...it seriously tastes like nothing more than a high quality malt liquor..some peppery alcohol..but 4.7's...dude, give me a fuckin' break..this shit..is shit! Fine foamy white lacing head over dark golden clear. Heavy watery body with medium-high carb. Starts moderately sweet with light malts. Alcohol, some sugar. Finishes with good bitterness, floral hoppiness. After is medium dry bitter with some fruitiness. hotstuff (3183), Indiana, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 26, 2003 This beer formed a large sized creamy and smooth white head with fine sized bubbles. The body was slightly hazy and with fast rising lively carbonation. This beer had a pale yellow hue to it. The nose was lightly malty, sweet, citrus notes and wine notes. The flavor was sweet, spicy and some fruit notes. The palate was tingly and this was a medium bodied beer with very, very sparse lacing.
