Commercial Description:
The 3MONTS beer : A wonderful return to nature, with its flavour of yesteryear, this is a beer that was drawn from the wooden metal-circled barrels to fill so many mugs in our Flanders bars! Its bitterness comes from our hop fields scattered throughout the region. Brewed by infusions, it is an old-fashioned rising beer made with strong and hearty Flemish hops. Fermented using top yeasts, like the barrel brewers of yore and clamped like bonderised barrels.

Pours a clear, bright yellow with a big fluffy white head. Initial aroma is apples, bread, and yeast. But as I drink it, the head has an unpleasant oxidized metal smell. Once the head diminishes, the original aromas return. Taste is dry and cider-like - apples, yeast, and a slight alcohol presence in the finish. This beer is subtle and both very drinkable and enjoyable.

Poured a pale gold with a fluffy head that left lots of lace. Sweet aroma of cornbread and light fruit. Flavor is somewhat sweet and yeasty, well balanced.

750 ml bottle. Slightly cloudy golden color, white head. Strong spicy aroma with alcohol. The alcohol follows in the flavor, with lemon and malts. Full body, high carbonation. Too much noticable alcohol.

1st put on my wishlist on 5/25/2006, now being 3/29/2009 .. lets see if the wait is justified.. at first glance at my bottle, loads of white-ish dust like yeast and floaties on the bottle of the bottle, not gelatin like or your typical yeast but more like crap at the bottle of a dirty fish bowl.. scary .. here it goes:

wow! first off..stupid fuckin cork design, cute but fuckin stupid! damn frogs! .. . tons of sediment, created some stirring by fighting with that cork, seriously, retarded! .. . light and fluffy low - medium head .. tons of honey, sweet belgian yeast, banana peel, and light light musky with honey cereal aromas ... great bubbles in my chimay glass .. pretty tasty i guess, a tad muddled but medium fullness with an intresting flavor profile... from some honey, to the weird aged dust/metal, to other sweet things .. . the loneliness is all around .. . i’m not sure what to say .. . pretty effervescent, mini mexican beans on the tongue .. . pigeons are stupid .. . a tasty brew but way to much other stuff going to make it great .. . ..WL cross off!

Golden colror with a slightly hoppy and very bready aroma. Flavor starts malty with some gentle grass and hops and goes towards pale lager territory. Not all that good.

Light gold body, highly effervescent with a moderate, fluffy head. Aroma of straw and grass. Biting carbonation in the flavor, with herbal hoppy notes and a tangy sweetness. Finishes dry and tart.

1 Pt. 9.4 oz. Poured golden yellow with white head. Malty aroma. Had a nice taste of malt, light hops. Alcohol is noticeable. Not that familiar with this style but I’d like to get more familiar.

Bottle - Pours a bright gold with a crisp white head. The aroma lets you know there is a bit of alcohol here. Slightly sweet taste, which I would put down the the alcohol content. Dry clean finish.
