Light barnyard character, touch of sourness, and a lot more cherry in the flavor. More oak here, and light spices. Brown color, moderate carbonation. A wonderful, full flavored biere de garde. joebrew (608), Farewell Minny; Hello Puyallup, Washington, USA

Color is a foggy rich orange with good carbonation and a nice head. Taste is rich and sweet. Starting with a full rich body it goes down nice and bubbly. Finish is rich malty sweetness with rich floral hop back ton and only the mildest bitterness. One of the best winter brew I’ve ever had. GRM (1261), Aylmer, Quebec, Canada

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Aug 26, 2007 Malt aroma,with pit fruits, and brown sugar. Dark copper, small tan head. Mild malt combines well with the pitfruit, slight almond also. Light bodied, balanced, sweet. Good. This style behooves me in that almost anything falls into this category? | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jul 27, 2007 Appearance: Pours a ruby-hued body with an effervescent, off-white head.
Smell: The aroma delivers a nice amount of caramel and spice, particularly ground cinnamon, as well as dark fruits.
Taste: Sweet dark caramel melds with brown sugar, sour cherries, and, I’m tellin’ ya, cinnamon. Finishes dry and chalky with a light bitterness.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Tight, frothy carbonation.
Drinkability: A decent beer that delivers a small measure of merry Christmastime to the hot, bawdy month of July.
