Nov 12, 2007 Updated: Feb 11, 2008750ml bottle picked up in Montreal. This beer is truly exceptional. Light and fluffy Christmas beer. Delicious yeasty brown malt with a tangy fruity finish. Completely mellow, perfect flavor and body balance. One of the best Christmas beers out there.

Sep 30, 2007 This stuff is really good, and quite a bargain at only $5.50. Great aroma of oak and cherry. Light barnyard character, touch of sourness, and a lot more cherry in the flavor. More oak here, and light spices. Brown color, moderate carbonation. A wonderful, full flavored biere de garde.

Dec 9, 2004 Bottle. Light farmyardy smell, definite wild aroma, lightly cheesy, with some cobwebby aromas. Palate is full and warming. Grass, hay, with a long lasting herbal bitterness, really enjoyed it, even the drunk lady who was almost falling off her chair near the bar, managed to put a sentence together (which was a very good effort, given her state), just to tell me this was her favourite beer.

Sep 23, 2007 Had this beer on 10/2/1999. Aroma is a sweet wine like aroma. Color is a foggy rich orange with good carbonation and a nice head. Taste is rich and sweet. Starting with a full rich body it goes down nice and bubbly. Finish is rich malty sweetness with rich floral hop back ton and only the mildest bitterness. One of the best winter brew I’ve ever had.

Sep 28, 2007 Thanks to JK for sharing. Pours a reddish brown color, with a huge creamy white head. Nice spicy cherry on the nosewith a dose of spicy deliciousness. Nice slightly sweet and tart cherry with a dose of brown sugar and spiciness. A fantastic biere de Garde.

May 28, 2006 Nutty brown with fine white lasting head. Sweet aroma of caramel and nuts. (Same aroma as westmalle dubbel) Lively carbonation. The texture is filling. A little sweetness from dark fruits and malts and then a slight bitter finish. (Not as sweet as the average Belgium Kerst, Great! )

Oct 1, 2007 Courtesy of Mr. JK. Dark red color with a thin head. Nice moderate sour cherry aroma. Strong malt taste. A bit of nuttiness and sourness. Definite cherry. Absolutely delicious and at $5 a bottle, an absolute steal.
