Stadin Single Hopped Amarillo Ale

Keg at Black Door, Helsinki (Aug 1.) Slightly hazy dark amber, small pale head with tight lace. Aroma has vegies, mild hops and metal, dry malts, pretty dull. Flavor is little pepper, herbal hops, mild caramelly malts, coarse finish. Almost medium bodied, low’ish soft carbonation. Not really too fresh nor interesting.

Draught @ Villi Wäinö. Cloudy amber color, off-white head. Dry aroma of fruity hops. Malty flavor with more fruitiness. Medium body, medium carbonation. Not bad.

Draught (Olutkellari, Helsinki)
Hazy orange, tiny keggy head. Quite sweet malty aroma, but with a big fruity hop kick - so sweet that it’s like ripe cantaloupe. Fairly grainy taste. Pretty malty body, quite sweet. Hoppiness very restrained. Pleasant fruitiness. Later finish has plenty of hoppy tingle, and a touch of ginger too. Tasty and much more drinkable than many APAs. However, it has no real depth. Good for 5.2% though.

Draught at Olutkellari, Helsinki, Finland. Pale amber colour. Some hoppy bitterness but mostly grapefruit in aroma. Some hoppiness in flavour and grapefruit. Rather fizzy. My Finnish rating #100.

Draught@Black Door. Amber-orange color, small white head. Dish water and iron aroma with only light hoppyness, where is Amarillo? Light palate. Honey, clover, some tropical fruits. Easy going brew which reminds me about Stadin bottled Pale Ale when I first had it. Not much same than in their old classic APA.

Draught 0.25L glass at Helsingin Olutkellari. Pale head. Fruity nose. Slightly hazy pale yellow colour. Soft malty hoppy taste slightly roasted. Hoppiness at end.
