punainen6 (70), Finland Aug 12, 2008 Bottle. Color reminds me of mämmi. Nose has some coffee and roasted malty notes Flavor is liquorice and chocolate with some sweetness. Finishes quite dry and malty, abit too hard carbonation thought.
gnoff (2567), Göteborg, Sweden Aug 3, 2008 (33 cl bottle brought home from Åland by a friend) On August 3, 2008 Clear dark to black color, small tan head. Head turns brown with swirling. Roasted, chocolate, malty grainy scent. Roasted, metallic, malty taste. Roasted aftertaste. A bit moussy mouthfeel, low bitterness. Archibaldo de la Cruz (59), Finland Jul 16, 2008 Bottle. Medium-bodied dark brown beer with a light brown head. A bit sweet, roasted malty aroma. The flavor is roasted malt with notes of smoke. Quite nice beer. TET (126), Finland Jun 13, 2008 Stallhagen Dunkles is almost black beer with light and large bubble head. Aroma is pleasant: combination with roasted malts and sweetness plus some tar and smoke. Flavour is very similat than aroma: some sweetness, roasted malts and still some tar and smoker. Quite easy to drink and there could be more body. This was my first time to drink Stallhagen Dunkles but better later than ever. Very convincing beer and I will bough this also later and many times, great beer. raymondwave (785), Finland May 18, 2008 Bottle 0.33 l. Deep brown, almost opaque. Very very brief head when puoring. Nose is fresh, hoppy, candy sweetness. Flavor is sllightly roasted malty, candy sweetness here too, cofffee, caramel. Very flavorful. Ultra low stallhagen style carb, which makes it feel a bit stale. Easy to drink. A bit porterish.
