~Banana clove, spicy scent.
~Starts off banana in flavor and ends with coriander and clove. A bit light.
~Light brew, slightly bitter and chalky finish.
~Decent Hefe. Light and dry.

Apr 30, 2009 Draft at the brewpub. Nose of wheat and light banana. Hazy yellow iwth a medium glass lacing white head. Flavor is corriander, light bitterness, and caramel.

Dec 28, 2008 On tap at the brewery. Soft gold in color, lightly hazy, with a small soft white head. This was actually a pretty nice hefe, had a good amount of estery spiciness to keep it refreshing. A bit more mild then some of the banana ridden German hefes, focusing more on softer clove notes, but well built and refreshing. Smooth body, wheat comes through nicely with a light lemon/citrus character coming through.

Aroma – Nice banana, wheat and floral aromas.
Appearance – Golden yellow in color with a nice head and hazy.
Flavor – Had a deep Hefe flavor with a good spice of clove and banana in the background.
Palate – Good Mouthfeel, Wheat texture with a dry finish.
Overall – A decent wheat beer with a good flavor.

Jun 10, 2008 Yellow with a nice head. Soft sweet banana aroma. Flavor includes notes of wheat, lemon, banana, clove. Soft and sweet. Light and flavorful. Very well done.

Aug 15, 2004 Updated: Mar 19, 2007Aug 15, 2004: On draft at brewery. Unfiltered appearance with golden color. Odors of hops and citrus. Easy to drink, with no bad tastes or aftertastes. A nice offering, and goes well with the excellent food they serve at the brewery. Update: Two and a half years later they seemed to have improved this some. Very smooth mouthefeel for a hefe.

Jul 9, 2001 Sweet in the nose, light hop, maybe unfinished, light body w/o effervesence, little cloud and texture, still tasty but not the perfect example of a Hef. The Standing Stone Brewery serves great food.
