On tap at the brewpub, this is a very dark stout with a lovely light and airy head with long retention. It has a very strong scent of toffee on the nose which is also present on the tongue. Feels really light on the mouth from the nitrogen and finishes very smooth.

From the NAOBF ’09 on a nitro tap. A wondefully smooth beer, the oatmeal gives it such a nice creamy body, and on a nitro tap, just wonderful. Lighter but refreshing.

~Pours black with small tan head. Looks a bit watery. ~Chocolate malts and coffee scent. ~Light coffee, chocolate, and roasted malt in flavor. ~Medium creamy feel. Quick roasted finish. ~Nice, light enjoyable stout.

This one had a nutty, light, crisp chocolate and coffee flavor to it. Also, it was lighter (thinner) than most stouts, but the sweet stouts can be that way. There really wasn’t much to it other than that.

On tap at the Standing Stone Brewery in Ashland Oregon. Smelled of chocolate and coffee. Tasted of roasted malts, coffee and a little bit of chocolate. Very thin-bodied for a stout. Could have been a lot better.

Soft sweet chocolate and roasted malt aroma. Dark brown with a thin head and great lace. Flavors of soft chocolate, oats, and roast. A soft bitterness in the finish. Seems a little thin for style.
