Clear golden, foamy white head. Pilsner malt, hop and a little citrus in the aroma. Grainy, little hoppy flavor, not bad but rather unbalanced. Thanks a bunch Sune for this new country!!

Jun 24, 2008 The most common beer in SL- also the cheapest. Usually served abnormally cold to mask its shortcomings like most American beers. There really is nothing much here- closest thing to this in the US would be Rolling Rock. Both are fairly poor. The only thing that distinguishes Star from other low grade beers is the sorghum added to the beer that gives it an odd bite. It is refreshing but not really much a beer. It can be downed like water and indeed many Sierra Leoneans drink it in about four sips and even call it "Pure Wata". This is definitely a Sierra Leone must but if you are looking for a great African brew, stick with Tusker.

May 19, 2007 Bottled. A golden beer with a white head. The aroma is sweet with notes of cardboard and malt as well as light notes of hops. The flavor is sweet with notes of cardboard, malt, and some brewing cereal. Thanks a lot, Sune.

May 19, 2007 (Bottle 33 cl) Courtesy of sunevdj. Pours a clear, pale golden with a dense, white head. Some aroma hops in the nose. Medium body, fairly sweet notes of brewing cereal and a distinct cardboardish edge and some metal. Very discreet hops. 110507

May 17, 2007 Ølfestival 2007. Bottle from my travelling boss. Pours a clear light yellow with a very smalll white head. Strong grassy smell. Light sweetness. Aromas of grass and straw. Quite like a Grøn Tuborg, though it´s been a while. The things you do to rate another country.
