Commercial Description:
A dark lager with an exceptionally fine taste which is talked about with recognition and admiration. Staropramen Dark is exceptional for its calming, full-bodied, sweetish caramel taste with gentle, hopsy bitterness. It is a taste you will never forget.

Pours a dark amber colour with at foamy head that disappeared after a few minutes. Scent of roasted coffee beans and toffee. Caramel and a hint of bitter coffee, with a slightly bitter finish. Rather thin palate. Still, I often end up buying it with my food at Cafe Sånn. (Shared with Stefan at Cafe Sånn, 10.oct.09)

Draught: Deep amber coloured with a firm off-white head, quite restrained aromas of dark and roasted malt, becoming more detectable when the beer gets warmer, light dry bitter-sweet flavour, light bodied, shy toasty aromas - again - in the short sweet-malty finish. O.K., but a very inoffensive brew....

Tap. 50cl. A deep amber brew with an aroma of sweet caramel. dark chocolate and nuts. Not a strong beer - only 4,4 vol - but whith a long taste.

From tap, brown reddish with creamy off white head, aroma of chocolate, butter and raisins, maltish flavor with some nuts and pleasant sweetness, finish is spiced with mint and clove, body is medium, overall an OK dunkel.
