Commercial Description:
A dark lager with an exceptionally fine taste which is talked about with recognition and admiration. Staropramen Dark is exceptional for its calming, full-bodied, sweetish caramel taste with gentle, hopsy bitterness. It is a taste you will never forget.

33 cl bottle. No yeast at the bottom. Dark amber colour nearly brown colour. Sweet aroma with notes of caramel, malt and some roastedness too. Very smooth tasty flavour with sweet caramel, toffee and a fine and noteable touch of roastedness and with a bitter and little dry finish.

Draught at Staropramen Naverandach in Prague. Dark red brown color with a beige head. Smells of some diacetyl and malt. Taste a bit roasted. Medium mouthfeel and bitterness.

50cl bottle. Very dark brown/chestnut with beige head. Some sweet malt, some nice hop too, bit of coffee/choc quite watery in mouth. Finish has some burnt malt, a bit of tickly hop and more choc/toffee. Better than the Kozel

Wonderful mahogany colour - beautiful against the light. Aroma is roasted, but not particularly powerful. Taste is sweet at first, with a dryness in the aftertaste, followed by a good deal of caramel and roasted feeling. Body is low to medium. 2.9

Tap @ Republikken. A bit better composed, some chocolate creeps through, lending the beer a softer touch. Otherwise the above description seems far. 3.4

NOt really good deal. The flavor is nice, some sweet, but drinkable fast too. After a while is just one dark beer.
