Commercial Description:
A dark lager with an exceptionally fine taste which is talked about with recognition and admiration. Staropramen Dark is exceptional for its calming, full-bodied, sweetish caramel taste with gentle, hopsy bitterness. It is a taste you will never forget.

Bottled. Roby red colour. Milk-chocolatey aroma. Quite dry, also a bit watery. Overall, not that good. One of the weaker dunkels I had in the Czech Republic.

This is the lightest cerne I’ve had from the Czech Rep - brought this one back to America with me. Brown-red with head like a light beer almost. Has a good flavor, somewhat chocolately than normal Czech darks. This beer is eerily reminiscent of Newcastle. SIDENOTE: Dark beers are considered girly by Czech college kids!

Dark brown color, mahogany hue. Weak aroma: some caramel and some roasted malt. Simple flavor, with loads of caramel, a touch of roasted malt, a bit metallic; high bitterness.

Flot farve; meget mørkerød. Aromaen er svag, ristet malt. Smagen er en anelse tynd, en anelse sød og en anelse ristet malt. Eftersmag? Ikke noget særligt vel?

Bottled. Dark red colour, not that big head. Weird metallic aroma with hints of licorace. Flavour is bready with hints of smoke. Aftertaste is caramellish but bitter.

Dark brown (Coca Cola) body with a medium lasting beige head. Roast malt and caramel aroma. Flavour is also dominated by malt, but with a clear hop presence.

The colour is intense, deep, deep brown-wine red. The foam is pale yellow with big bubbles and it dissolves really fast. The smell is roasted with hints of sweet rye bread. The carbon dioxide is fresh and lasting with small bubbles. The taste is quite weak, and the dominant note is roasted malt (really nice) with some notes of nuts and pumpernickel, bitterness is quite mild. The aftertaste is short, dry and develops into a good (although not very potent) bitterness.
