Commercial Description:
A dark lager with an exceptionally fine taste which is talked about with recognition and admiration. Staropramen Dark is exceptional for its calming, full-bodied, sweetish caramel taste with gentle, hopsy bitterness. It is a taste you will never forget.

bottle in prague: reddish brown/ mahogany colored with and off white head, with a roasted fruity aroma. bittersweet beer with a taste of coffee and some fruitiness. undecided if the bitterness is from hops or raosted grains.very drinkable.

Very easy to drink, not very agressive and a good refresher. Its taste is rather sweet, and it would do well with dessert. A good beer for daily use.

Aroma is malty, sweetish, a litlle fruity (some berries I guess) and weak. Clear, black coloured with a lasting, off-white head. Taste is malty-sweet, some bitterness and a little fruity (berries). Bit watery and a little sticky.

(on bottle)I diden´t have any high hope for tjis one amd I wasen´t disapinted. All i all a medium brew, with some coffee in the aroma, watery mouth and a tad of roast in the finish. Tht roasted taste did actually make one want another sip, just not this beer again.

Dark red color, no head to mention. Strong caramel and malty aroma. Medium bodied beer with nicely toasted and coffee tasting malt, also some chocolate may be noticed. Surprisingly much carbonated, but it matches nicely to this dunkel. Carbonation makes this beer very refreshing, which is - I think - pretty rare for dunkels. Leaves nice bitter feeling to mouth.
