Draught. Quite dark, almost white head. Fresh aroma. Malty, semi-sweet flaour. Malty aftertaste. A lot of malt, I guess. 5 4 8 3 17

Draught. Dark caramelly aroma. Very dark brown colour. Clear red shine. Small creamy light brown head. The flavour is caramelly, has some dark malt. Low bitterness and not very roasted either. 6 3 6 3 14

A deep amber brew with an aroma of sweet caramel. Some liquorice in the flavour, but mainly sweet caramel which drowns out most other flavours. A bit heavy handed on the caramel but not too bad a beer - nowhere near as bad as the standard pale ones anyway. (Draught at U Stary Posty, Praha)

Bottle - bought from Hotel Berlin, Smichov, Prague. Darkish black, like a Porter or a fizzy Mild. No head or lacing, cola aroma, with some sugar. Porter like flavour - sweet roasted oats over malty lagerish base. Thin, sweet, but balanced and tasty. Richness in the medium aftertaste - medicinal, choc, nuts. This is a very good Czech product, which is possibly Staropramen's best product. I felt it was fitting to try this and Staropramen's Granat in my hotel, as it was plum next door to the aforementioned brewer's large, fully functional base!

Slightly complex aroma structure. Mild fruity beer, but without to much of an aftertaste

Bottle (says 4.4% ABV, also tried this draught in Prague)
Dark-brown and red colour. Small quicky vanishing slightly tanned head. Lots of CO2 makes this Coke look-a-like. Sweet dark chocolate aroma, not very strong. Delicious coffee-chocolate and smoked flavour, ending too quickly. (8/3/8/3/13 3.5)
Draught
Dark brown, creamy brown head. Fresh lemony hoppy nose. Strong oak and earthy flavor, dry aftertaste. Something wrong with this? (6/4/5/2/10 2.7)
Re-rated, bottle (BB 06/2005)
Dark brown-ruby color, small creamy tanned head. Aroma has coffee beans and dark chocolate. Light body. Roasted cold coffee flavor. Some late roasted bitterness. (8/4/6/3/14 3.5)

A dark coloured beer which look very beautiful in a glas.It has the right bitterness and a taste of liquorice, dark chocolate and nuts. Not a strong beer - only 4,4 vol - but whith a long taste.

A dark beer, a off-white head The beer looks very tasty. Has a fruity aroma. Has a aftertaste of cacao. Feels a little bit watery.
