Some nutty choc and underlying piney hop in aroma. Polite, gentle, over-chilled chocolate maltiness. Liquorice as it warms, but only a smear.Cola brown and unlacy with ruby glints and a beige lid. Thin and tedious but almost tasty. NosirIwont (1186), Aalborg Vestby, Denmark

Malty, horse blanket aroma with roasted notes. Cooked Vegetables. Doesn’t really work for me. Flavour is dull. Not a lot going on here. Some malt. Horse blanket in the finish. Some apple notes. Hmm… 06-02-08. KimJohansen (7130), Copenhagen V, Denmark

| 1.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 2/10 | 1/5 | 4/20 | Jan 14, 2008 The bottle looks not bad, but somehow old. The beer in the glass is okay. The flavor is a catastrophy. Terrible malty, really penetrating. A really nasty beer. Maria (6306), Thisted, Denmark
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Jan 9, 2008 Nice dark brown beer with a good head. The aroma has weak notes of malt and a hint of licorice and the flavour has notes of malt, caramel and a hint of licorice. The finish has an OK bitterness. I would like more subtle notes and depth, and even if it’s OK, it also was a bit of a disappointment. BeerBiker (1392), Kathmandu, Nepal
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jan 8, 2008 I wanna rate this beer as I felt it tasted the first time I sampled it many years ago on tap in Praha. One of the best beer ever at that time. Fullbodied with a dark caramel character, sweet and with not much carbonation. Fresh and I want more!!! jspruit (113), Dublin, Ireland
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 3, 2007 Bought this 0.5L bottle in Prague while visiting and drank it back at home in Ireland. Pours a rich dark amber with a 1.5 finger head that had a bit of yellowish to it but was basically white and it disappeared slowly into a decent lace that stuck around throughout the drink. The smell was great malty hints and some light floral & fruity hints. The taste is exactly what you would expect from the smell and was very smooth going down with more and more light fruity sugary notes coming through as it warmed up. Not a strong or harsh beer that went down great and something I could drink all day long-wish it was more available.

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 21, 2007 Bottle, october 07. Dark brownish copper, clear with a creamy, medium, beige head. Aroma is slightly fruity, some molasses with some toasted notes. Flavor is medium fruitiness with some toast and roasty notes. Somewhat a cross between a schwarz and a dry stout. Medium mouthfeel, smooth with a dry finnish. Slightly fruity, stout like dark lager.
