Commercial Description:
A dark lager with an exceptionally fine taste which is talked about with recognition and admiration. Staropramen Dark is exceptional for its calming, full-bodied, sweetish caramel taste with gentle, hopsy bitterness. It is a taste you will never forget.

Beutiful red-brown beer with a small head. It has a nice aroma of a good malt blend, sweet with hints of liqurice. The taste contains no sweetness but a very dry hoppy bitterness - for the bitternes level not a suiting hop for my taste. It too contains hints of smoked malt - a little watery in the middle. Not a beer I’ll have again.

(Bottle 50 cl) With typical German flair for pretty names this is renamed "Staropramen - das Prager Schwarzbier" at 4,6% ABV. Very classical dark lager with a reddish tint. Limited head and a lightly smoked edge from the dark malts. Soft with a limited bitterness. Pleasant and easy to drink. I’ve also had this named "Staropramen Cerný" and "Staropranen Dark Prague Beer" at 4,4% ABV. 210499/190502/180904

Draught at Arlanda Airport, Stockholm. Clear dark ruby, no head. Aroma of sweet roasty malt. Light bodied and sweet with clean mouthfeel. Some dough and toastiness, but rather thin and industrial. Low bitterness.
