Commercial Description:
Staropramen Garnet is a unique lager that fully honours the tradition of our brewery. In the brewing process, which is based on the original recipe from 1884, we mix pale and specialty malts in the so-called "sprinkling" process. This gives the lager its typical garnet colour, gently bitter taste and full-bodied hopsy aroma

Another fantastic beer in the collection of Staropramen, this is how a real Vienna should be brewed. It is recommendable trying out drinking all four common Staropramen at the same day, then you will find out the high quality.

Draugth at Branicky Sklipek in Prague.

Dark amber to light brown color, small white head. Huge butterscotch scent, almost like smelling red wine when compared to the Branik 10 I had beside it. More (and better) taste than the bottled version found in Sweden. Medium high bitterness. Lots of diacetyl in the taste as well. Big mouthfeel.

When I go to Czech Republic I always drink Staropramen due to his drinkabiltiy. Clear, amber colour with a small head, sweet malty aroma with a touch of honey and a hoppy blend, medium body, smooth carbonation. sweet and toastmalty taste, dry bitter finish.

Had this when I was in Prague and was extremely impressed. Wish they sold this in Canada. Would be my everyday beer.

Bottled: Clear light amber coloured. Not much head. Aroma is sweet and malty. Some fruity notes. In the flavour I find malts, hops, flowers, fruits and some sweetness. The beer finishes dry and pleasantly bitter.
