500ml bottle from Prague. Black beer with thin beige head. Lots of dark choc on aroma, coffee creme too. Fullish in mouth although somewhat watery, with a smokey ash flavour on the end. More coffee/choc/cream flavours in the mouth. Dusty and ashy though on the end. Not keen on the ash or the cream elements of this

07-06-03 Had a very nice pint of this in a little cellar bar jazz club on the castle side of the river in Prague. A black beer with creamy white head, nice roasted tast and burnt malt flavours. A very smooth good stout.

Coffee aroma and coffee flavor in this black beer. Off white head. Medium palate. More or less a light oatmeal stout. Not bad but the Czechs do lagers better.

Mid-sized creamy offwhite head, settles like Guinness. Faint sweet aroma of roasted almonds. Taste of roasted, burnt almonds with milky mouthfeel. Aftertaste is roasty burntness lingering. Quite good. Not very dry. (On tap.)

Nice black color and beige head. Roasted and butterscotch aroma. Sweet and roasted taste. Smooth mouthfeel, though not as good as the draught version in Prague.

Draught at "Staropramen NAverandach" and at "Hells Bells", both in Prague.
Almost pitch black look with a thick creamy rich beige head. Thick creamy taste and mouthfeel, finishes with a touch of burnt from the black malts. Very little scent, but the amazing taste and mouthfeel makes up for it. Nice balanced bitterness.

Tried this fantastic stout at several breweries in Prague, only from the tap, never seen it on bottle or can. When talking of "regular" stout, not imperial or russian or whatever, this is without a doubt THE best stout I’ve ever had. I love it! Ar:9 Ap:5 Fl:9 Pa:5 Ov:19 = 4.8

Beautiful settling, black color, dense cream, tan head. Creamy, malty, roasted, coffee, metallic taste. Malty and roasted scent. Smooth mouthfeel, medium bitterness.

On tap at the brewery tap in Prague: Almost black, big brownish head, very long lasting, fruity, malty-roasted malts- and slightly bitter nose, light bodied, distictive bitter-malty aftertaste. Not bad at all, but a bit watery............

Creamy off-white head to this black beer. Little watery. Some fruitness in the aroma. Plums. Burnt malt and coffee in taste. Drinken in Praha on tap.

The Lure:
Cascading carbonation into thick nitro head. Aroma is faint and somewhat fruity, with some graham crackers in the back.

The Festivities:
As aqueous as Guinness. Sweet biscuits and creamy lifelessness. Some roastiness gets overwhelmed by the attempt for a velvety feel, and can’t offer much bitterness. A Guinness imitation all the way, with no imagination, and all empty fluff.

Transcendence:
Appearances are soooo deceiving, and some take advantage of it. Bastards.
