Like most Czech beers, would be optimal alongside food such as sausages, potatoes, and braised vegetables. andrewboss (137), New York, USA

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 9, 2007 11.2 Oz. bottle. Pours golden with a white head. A decent taste, mostly a earthy sweet malt, with a bitter finish. Pretty good. onlyrocknroll (220), Cork, Ireland
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Sep 3, 2007 Clear gold with too small a head for a pilsener. The aroma is too weak, with a faint trace of Saaz. Medium body. Sweet and malty on the palate dissappearing very quickly to a dry hoppy finish. Overall it simply suffers from a lack of flavour. kp (8396), Woodstock, Georgia, USA

| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Aug 28, 2007 Bottle. Creates a massive white head, with a careless aggressive pour. Malt aroma, and not much else. A little skunked from the green bottle. That’s a little disappointing. BustedFlat (553), Edina, Minnesota, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 10/20 | Aug 26, 2007 330ml bottle. Shaker glass. Golden with a medium head. Aroma -- malt, grain and some floral hops. It started out crisp with some light malt and a touch of bitterness. I thought it was comparable to Pilsner Urquell, but about mid-bottle a very floral and perfumed taste becamse apparent and I found this a little off-putting.

| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Aug 22, 2007 See-thru amber pour with odd tiny bubbles...large sudsy white head. Very distinct bread aroma, like a dinner roll. First flavor is of carmal/malt followed by bitter floral hops. Finishes sweet. palate is sticky. Almost like an english lager with a pilsner? Get both the bitter hops & some sweet malt.
