| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Aug 13, 2007 My favourite of the Czech pilseners. Staropramen is great on tap and in the bottle. Possibly the maltiest flavour of the large Czech producers. Let hoppy aftertaste, but still prevalent, as is common with Czech Pilseners. Unfortunately, not available in Western Canada, where I am, but worth a shot if you run into it. stegosaurus (1882), Levittown, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Aug 13, 2007 Bottle sampled. Pours golden with a small white head. Aroma of sweet malts and grassy hops. The flavor is bitter, grain, pale malts, and finishes dry. Thin bodied, met expectations(but they weren’t high). cyrenaica (440), Milton, Ontario, Canada
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Aug 10, 2007 I tried this beer on August 10, 2007 at the Esplanade Biermarket in Toronto. The beer was a deep translucent gold in colour with a very white small head that lasted mere seconds. The aroma on the other was quite foul with some soapy hints. The mouthfeel was thin-bodied and very crisp with a high level of carbonation. The taste was slightly malty with a strong presence of wheat. Moz (613), Gothenburg, Sweden
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 4, 2007 Draught. Golden colour with an off-white head. Light hoppy aroma. Discreet malty flavour with a wee sweetness. ChristianScheffel (4529), Odense, Denmark
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 31, 2007 Yellow with a big white head, and even a hint of lace. Somewhat weak aroma compared to other Bohemians, slightly floral with some herbs. Malty and dry but lacking in hops compared to the masters Budvar and Urquell. JK (2955), Richfield, Minnesota, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 31, 2007 A little skunk in the aroma. Aroma has light hops, with moderate hops and light malt combined in the flavor. Quite dry for the style. Not bad, but it needs a brown bottle.
