Jun 25, 2007 The czechs know how to make a fine beer. This Pilsner rates behins Urquell and Budvar, but only just. Im a big fan of this beer. Crisp.

Jun 22, 2007 Clear straw color with a minimal white head. Heavy skunk aroma along with a blast of corn. Sweet corny taste all the way through the finish. The palate was thick and really intensified the skunky sickliness of this brew. Not a real pleasant drinking experience.

Jun 19, 2007 Pours clear yellow with small white head. Nose is skunked out hops. So is the flavor with some subdued malt graininess. I hate green bottles.

Had expected more of this famous beer, but maybe it was the wrong day of beertasting. Too much sticky alcoholic notes and the bitterness was unbalanced. Metallic, straws, grain, soft pilsnernotes and again unbalanced.

Jun 16, 2007 I drank this very often on tap and in bottles, as it is one of the standard beers in Prague restaurants. Golden yellow colour, nice head. Well-balanced brew, malty and hoppy. Nothing special to notice, which makes it a bit boring.

Jun 15, 2007 Can, 500ml, best before 18.04.08, savoured on June 15 2007; eye: golden, clear, no effervescence, tiny white head that turns into a really small ring around the glass; nose: malt, corn, light hops; mouth: in that order, hops that is almost peppery, grainy malt, metallic, layer of caramel is present almost throughout the tasting, finale with a hint of hops and a bit of acridity that is unpleasant, grainy texture, quite carbonated, mildly sweet and bitter, medium body, lightly astringent; overall: correct
