Mild skunkiness from the green bottle, but it dissipated after a few minutes. Predominantly grassy aroma, with a faint earthy undertone. I’m not a big fan of the style, why pay import prices for the same flavor as cheap american lagers, but this one isn’t as bad as most. piscator34 (1129), Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 16, 2005 Dark gold in colour with lots of carbonation. Grassy hop aroma with a touch of malt. More honey flavored malt flavors with a decent enough contribution of herbal and grassy hop notes. Medium bitterness. A basic Czech pils. MoritzF (4961), Bochum, Germany
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Aug 14, 2005 (bottle) Clear and pale golden colour with a medium foamy white head. Cookie malt aroma with hints of floral hops. Somewhat crispy mouthfeel but this one lacks a bit character compared to its Czech counterparts. Anyway it has a nice bitterhoppy finish. Clear golden colour, with a off-white head that fades quickly but doesn’t disappear totally, but sort of clings to the inside of the glass. A little sweetness can be detected but is overshadowed by the medium/heavy hop bitterness - much more hoppy than a standard euro-pilsner. The body is light/medium, with a soft and pleasant carbonation. harrisoni (6800), Ashford, Kent, England

| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 6, 2005 Better than average European lager. Attractive dark colour and a small white head. Very little aroma, a hint of malt perhaps. Flavour was sweet and malty followed by refreshing dryness. Damage (77), London, Ontario, Canada
