| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jun 29, 2005 On tap, Prague. Clear yellow with thick, bubbly head that smells of Saaz and water. A bit malty start but dry overall. A great cheap Czech beer.
Staropramen seems to be the most inconsistent Czech beer when it comes to taps, so try to drink it at a pub that knows how to keep its taps clean and is crowded, so you know it’s fresh. dortmunder (961), Herdecke, Germany

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 17, 2005 (Bottle 50 cl) Comes as "Staropramen Desítka - pivo svetle výcepní" at 4,2% ABV. They’re really hard to pinpoint these Czech beers with their odd national names, but I s’pose it’s this one. Classical golden with a nice full although collapsing head. Very pleasant, malty palate and a rather subdued bitterness. ThomasE (5178), Copenhagen, Denmark

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 1/5 | 16/20 | Oct 23, 2004 Can - light malty aroma with a hint of hops. Medium yellow color with short head. Light malt flavor - high carbonation with a hoppy finish. Not nearly as strong as most Czech pilseners - a good choice for those who like a lighter flavor. caesar (3034), Bunnik/Utrecht, Netherlands
