Malty aroma with fenolic notes. Light amber with a good head. Very bitter taste gives it a long finish.

Amber colour with a nice off-white head. Aroma of corn, caramel and hops. Flavour much the same with a bitter finish.

Smooth, irish like red ale. Had a pint at a bar in Prague and a bottle later on. They were quite different in texture, but taste was pretty good on both. Quite unlike other czech beers I’ve tasted.

Half liter can, with nitrogen ball. Opened it and fizzy white head came out. On the label it said that this is made in Slovenia, so maybe it is. Paid more for this than I did for other beers and so I was expecting a lot. Didn’t quite get it. Beer was ok, but was still a dissappointment.

Bottle in Czech. No aroma to speak of. A bit muddy and quite watery. Hard to imagine exactly what liquid velvet might taste like, but pretty sure this aint it.

On tap at The Herna Bar, Prague, Pasteurised, 500ml. Amber gold heavily fized white head. It took some nerve to go for the 2nd beer here and was it worth it? This is an imitation Caffreys at its worst, I’m sure it was nitrokegged. Very poor.

Dense creamy but thin head. Smells of yeast. Body like a draught bitter, round and smooth, no excessive sugar. Feels like velvet in your throat
