The locals are very proud of the "cascade" effect of when it settles after being poured. Smooth creamy and with a wholesome flavour - thumbs up! apatahunga (1), Boca Raton, Florida, USA does not count | 4.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 10/10 | 4/5 | 19/20 | May 3, 2006 One of my favorite Czech beers. Looks great in glass: color and creamy foam. Creamy aroma, best when fresh. Smooth. dwyerpg (2545), Las Vegas, Nevada, USA

One of the smoothest beers I’ve had, easily the smoothest Czech beer. Downside is it lacks distinct flavor - kind of like Anchor Steam. Probably the most aptly named beer. also can’t understand the low rating - perhaps its awful out of the can; i had on tap in Brno. D (550), Poland

Great, great look - amber colour, very thick and creamy head. Rich aroma - creamy, fruits, hops, little bitterness, no alcohol notes. Very smooth and very, very good; how is it possible that such a gem has an overall rating only slightly higher than some Heineken stuff? ondrej (32), Toronto, Canada

The head is so thick you almost have to eat your way through it. Always served in specially shaped 0.4l glasses which enables the spectacular avalanche-effect (not to mention 0.4l is pretty unusual in Czech bars). One recommendation - NEVER drink it from a tin - it makes it completely different beer as it looses most of the avalanche-effect. More substantive characteristics: well balanced palate-wise, creamy, dark golden colour, long sweet finish. BeerManDan (21), Houghton, Michigan, USA

Only on tap and bottle, didn’t even know you could find it in a can. However, you can’t get in i Sweden and my memories are a bit hazy. I do seem to recall though a very creamy foam, not very different from whipped cream or molten vanilla ice cream. Also very smooth and non-offensive (and I mean this in a good way). ogreface (330), Budapest, Hungary
