Unfortunately, I didn’t find this brewer to be well-distributed in the off-premise, and this was the only Starr Hill beer I brought home...and it wasn’t great.
This beer pours black and thin, with a light but abundant head. Aroma is roasty and dry, appropriate for a dry stout I guess, but not tremendously interesting. Flavor was a little thin, and was primarily mild. Flavor was all dry roastiness, like a cold charred cigar. But, not greatly pleasant nor complex. Just a mild char flavor, which didn’t really keep me interested. Mouthfeel was a little thin.
This beer was just OK. I bought it at Wine Warehouse in C-ville.

Poured black in color with a very light brown head that was fully diminishing with fair lacing. The aroma was very, very mild with a slight hint of chocolate and coffee malts and a tinge of toffee. It tasted bitter-sweet with a nice hoppy finish that lasted only a short while. Mourthfeel was light to medium bodied with a watery feel to it. Overall not much to offer but tastes OK. JFGrind (1354), Glenside, Pennsylvania, USA
