The beer pours a not entirely opaque brownish black color with a thin light beige head that recedes quickly. Stringy lacing on the glass. Roasted coffee and chocolate in the nose. Medium body that is watery at times with flavors of coffee and burnt malt plus a bit of chocolate. The finish is short and mildly bitter with a coffee aftertaste. Uncomplicated and forgettable lighter Stout overall.

| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Nov 7, 2009 Pours dark black with medium sized dark tan head. Nose is salty, roasted malts, some sugar, vanilla, coriander. Taste is heavily burnt malts, some bitterness, a bit thin and acidic. Additional flavors are chocolate, vanilla, some coffee, and a light bit of oatmeal. I think if they could kill the acidic quality and make it more chewy, it would be about an 80.
