On cask at Bar Volo Cask Days - Toronto. Appearance: Cloudy orange, zero head, all in order there for a cask! Aroma: Chocolate, malt, nice green hops with a smidgen of tobacco. Flavour: Young hops, tobacco, caramel, bitter hops and some wine/vineous properties. Not bad.

Cask at Volo
Appearance: light haze on amber , light white top, fizzy ring on sides. 2+.
Nose: Mild light nose , raw malts , citric hop feel.
Flavor/Palate : Soft mild brew. Neat grainy bitters with citric side to it. Drinkable smooth bitter.

Volo 2009 English cask fest. Another good understated offering by this brewer. Golden colour with no head. A peachy fruity taste, nice hops at a low IBU of coure, refreshing. Average mouthfeel. Nice and fresh.

Cask. At Volo 2009 English Cask event. Ratting #3900. Hazy orange pour, wispy little head. Light and dry aroma of orange zest, cereal grain and dry herbal/floral bitterness - appealing, and not at ALL sweet. Initially mild bitter grassy/herbal taste, it developed more bitterness - grassy, then crushed grapeseed sharpness, a hint of lemon tartness - dry grain and even a bit of alcohol - simple, refreshing - and not sweet at all. Slick, soft, slightly astringent mouthfeel, very cask-still, with a medium-long pungent floral finish - a solid, solid cask ale, well done Doug! Beer of the night for me and most everyone else - it sure ran out quick enough!!!
