Aroma of tea like hops and malt. Taste is all tea like hops up front fading quickly back to the malt base of this beer. A decent effort on an just ok base beer. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 17, 2008 Cask. At Volo Cask Days 2008. Hazy reddish-gold with a solid frothy and lasting off-white head. Aromas of lemon, pine, coriander and slightly juicy sweet malt. Taste - the same, only softer, the element blend and blur nicely -- has a soft mouthfeel, average body, with building astringency; the malt body fades quickly, but the fresh hop bitterness lingers nicely. Very good indeed - MAKE MORE OF THIS. blankboy (3207), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Pours a hazy orange-amber with an average size diminishing off-white head. Nice piney hop aroma, quite spicy and fruity as well along with caramel malt and a little sweetness. Flavour’s hoppy and fruity along with lots of spices and an average bitter finish. Average bodied. Pretty good stuff, I wouldn’t mind this becoming a regular staple from this brewery. swoopjones (1915), Buffalo, New York, USA
