Pours a straw yellow with a tall white head. Aroma of spice, Belgian yeast and lemon. Flavor is sweet-citrus (lemon) with spice and yeast. Abrupt flavor with an almost absent ending. michael-pollack (2750), King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, USA

Smells like a saison. Poured yellow/gold/slight amber in color with a small, white head that diminished but lasted throughout as a film on top of the beer. Hazy. Lightly sparkling. Flavor is lightly sweet and slightly bitter. Tastes of light pale malts, yeast, spices, coriander, pepper, slight citrus, and slight hops. Light to medium body. Lightly dry texture. Average carbonation. Yeast, pepper, spice, and pale malt finish is slightly dry. 8.5%ABV is totally hidden. Headbanger (1601), Aurora, Illinois, USA

Pours a hazy golden with a huge white head. Aroma of spices, pepper, and slight fruit. Taste of citrus, pepper, and some dryness. This medium bodied brew is lacking in taste. It has potential but just missing. yemenmocha (427), Glendale, Arizona, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 23, 2009 Pours almost like a hefe-weizen: hazy pale golden color with contrasting white head. Nose is herbal & grassy with a suggestion of peach rind. On the palate this one is razor sharp, but pleasing with tangy/tart herbal hop flavors with a background of malt. Finishes dry. The aroma is sweet vegetal and cereal malts with some metallic alcohol.
The flavor is sweet sugary and bready malts and a little fruit with some plasticy bitterness. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with smooth carbonation.
Overall, I didn’t care for this at all. Too many off notes and overly sweet and vegetal. It is drinkable though. As I go through the bottle it mellows out some. mcjay (304), Neenah, Wisconsin, USA

| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Feb 3, 2009 Crushed with Jakebra. Kinda sweet nose is pretty nice. Flavor is sour and poopy and nothing like the nose. Not sure why this is called Diablo. It should be, like, Robin Ale or something. You know, like a lame superhero instead of a awesome one. | 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Nov 20, 2008 Updated: Sep 23, 2009Aroma is a spicy malt scent. Color is yellow with a touch of gold and a slight haze. Carbonation is low with a very thin head. Taste is light and creamy. Starting with a light/medium body that goes down smooth and creamy. Finish comes in thick and bland with a malt flavor that has tones of vanilla and a faint fruit like taste. Its OK, but the flavor comes across a bit bland leaving it less refreshing then it could be.
