Commercial Description:
Extremely complex malt and oat flavor; sweet with nice chocolate and roast overtones. The addition of a healthy amount of brewers oats is detectable with a smooth, silky finish. This moderately hopped ale is a great choice for the majority of our dark beer lovers.

Very impressive. Very full bodied, unlike many American stouts. Strong with oat and dark mollasses flavors.

Tap - A good example of a sweet stout, nice oily color - just a tad thin, but not enough to lose too many points. Oat taste is noticable and pleasant. I had it outdoors on a hot day and it didn't make me want to go lie down in the shade.

Pours dark black with no head. Has no lacing. Smells like light roast coffee and chocolate, and wood. Tastes like cocoa, skim milk, roasted malt and has a smooth mouthfeel and pleasant bite. Good finish, that’s mild yet full flavored. The body is a little thin which is nice and just makes this more refreshing.

What struck me most about this beer was the wonderful palate. It was just silky smooth and a joy to have in the mouth.

Rich chocolate malt aroma with light oat aroma. Pours pretty black wotj a darl tan colored head. Flavor is choclate like without a lot of bitternss. Pretty tasty.
