ElGaucho (1721), Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA May 4, 2008 No recollection of rating this beer with the proof being that I just bought a bottle excited that I’d finally be able to try a Steamworks brew. However, turns out I was confusing Steamworks with Bottleworks in Seattle. However, by the rating I gave it, I’m glad I did buy another bottle. Very resiny hop aroma. Reddish gold body with a yellowish, tan ring. Wonderful, sweet hop flavor. Outstanding and grossly underrated. Braudog (3463), Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates Sep 24, 2006 Updated: Sep 23, 2007Draft pint at the brewpub, 9/18/06: Dark orange with a thin but filmy head. Full-up hoppiness in this, in a perfectly citrus-earthy blend. This went terrificly with their spicy vinegarette dressing. Bonus! rlgk (3011), Motala, Sweden Oct 4, 2007 Rating numer 2500! (Stockholm Beer Festival 2007) Bottle. Somewhat hazy orange/golden color, small head. Truly hoppy aroma, grapefruit, grass and metallic notes. Flavor brings hops, hops and hops. grapefruit, hops, grass, hops, citric notes, hops. Huge bitterness, still the beer is balanced. And what was that in the finish? Hops? Probably yes.... Very good beer! uhclem (116), Loveland, Colorado, USA Aug 16, 2008 I can’t believe it’s taken me so long to try this IIPA - it’s been staring at me from the cooler for ages. From the first pour to the last swallow, this is an exceptional brew.Very well balanced flavor, an opulent mouthfeel and an excellent finish larsniclas (2794), Gothenburg, Sweden Oct 27, 2007 Sampled at SBWF, 2007.
