Commercial Description:
This ale's golden amber color only hints at its full-bodied flavor. Its sumptuous maltiness is tempered by a goodly amount of bitterness and a mouth-filling hop flavor. In order to finish our I.P.A. with a truly fresh hop bouquet, we dry hop this ale in the serving tank with both East Kent Goldings and Mount Hood hops.

Finally got a pint of the IPA.. will it live up to rival DIX? Nope! Light amber brew with a medium sized white cap. Boring aroma with some citrus and floral notes - nothing that makes the mouth water, no complexity. Why is there a fishy note on the taste? Not to sure about that. Boring and plain IPA. Decent bitterness but I like a hell of a lot more, wood, alcohol, dry, some candy as well. DIX KILLS THIS.

Golden amber, with a fairly hoppy aroma. Taste has a good amount of bitterness. Well-balanced. Good IPA.

Pleasant pine aroma and dry bitter finish along with a caramel malt backbone - text book, but nothing to make me stand up and say wow.

Cask@Steamworks Brewery Brewpub, Vancouver. Golden beer wih a gently dry aroma, and a quite dry and hopped flavour. Overall a nice dry IPA.

Consumed draft at Steamworks. Hazy amber color with almost no head. Aroma is straw with light floral hops. Flavor is mostly sweet grass, bread, light orange and grapefruit with more of an astringent than bitter finish....Is this really an IPA, because it fooled me. Probably the lowest on my list of BC Brewpub IPAs thus far. Not really definitive of the style. But I admit that it is hard to appreciate most other IPAs after recently having Stone’s.

Draft at the brewpub. poured a clear medium to dark orange color with a thin white head. Not much in the way of aroma other than subdued wilting flower blossom. Light to medium bodied without any significant bitterness. I tasted graham cracker and a bit of grass. Eh.
