Apr 13, 2008 The box on this says it’s "arguably" the best American-style amber lager in the county. Arguably is the key word, I could argue with them :). It’s a good beer. Pretty sweet, red-dark beer with very little head. I’d be lying if I said I didn’t enjoy it. Better than average, good session beer. Best in the country? Nah. Best I had today? Sure.

Apr 12, 2008 Bottle. Pours a deep clear amber with nice off white head with very good retention. Aroma of floral hops. Flavor reminds me of a hopped pale ale, sweet hints of caramel with citris notes. Has a very slight bitter. Medium-high carbonation....seems that it might have been naturally carbonated. Medium mouth feel....Good beer...

Mar 26, 2008 deep amber pour with a thin white layer of froth. almost citrus scent with malts and grass as well. very hoppy taste with a weird cardboard malty taste.

Mar 26, 2008 Can from hellbilly. Aroma of dusty sweet floral and piney hops with a bit of caramel malt. A bit fruity too. Strawberry is pretty close from previous raters. Pours a nice orange amber color with a thin head. Bready caramel with a crisp floral hop profile. Lightly fruity. It finishes clean, but leaves more of a watery feeling in the mouth than that of anything else. Would be nice with I could probably drink 15 of these, if that means anything.

Mar 26, 2008 Bottle at J’s Bistro. Pours a clear amber color with a very small white head that diminishes to quickly. The aroma is light malt and sweet hop. The taste is very hoppy with a sweet finish.

Feb 24, 2008 Draught. Pours clear amber with a small, fizzy, white head, somewhat lasting with good lacing. Aroma is average malt (grain, straw, meal), light hops (grass), average yeast (sweat, dough) with notes of pear. Light bodied, slick texture, average carbonation, and a metallic finish. Average duration, light sweetness, acidity, and bitterness.

Jan 31, 2008 Thanks to KAggie97 for handing me this beer. Pours a reddish amber with decent head. Nose is strangely like strawberries and malt. Flavor is somewhat strawberry, but has a good malt base which give it that bready flavor. Finishes quick and unassuming. Not bad.
