Guess I didn’t know this was a dark lager, as the pour was far darker than I expected, a deep copper in fact. Modest carbonation, thin head. Smell is nicely malt, almost like a bock of some sort. The mouthfeel is thinnish, the finish a bit meh. But the flavors are pleasantly sweet, with enough hops to keep it somewhat refreshing. DocLock (4648), Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 16, 2009 Draft at Craft. Dark straw pour, with fruity hopcit in the nose, and pale malty hopcit, apricot, and slightly tart honey in the flavor. Solid lager. brewmaster55 (48), , Wisconsin, USA

Was a little worried what I was getting into with things that the label states. But I was very impressed with this Amber Lager, and have bought it several times since first trying it. llcooldave (328), San Antonio, Texas, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Apr 2, 2009 Piney floral hops in aroma. It was more aggressively hopped than expected but that’s good! Golden copper in color with a malty hoppy flavor. Overall, this is pretty darn good. I was a little skeptical of their claim to be the "best" but I’m hooked now. TipsyAfter2 (15), Michigan, USA
