The bottle looks good, the beer in the glass also. Starts very malty, modest sweet. Also spicy-yeasty. Finish still very malty for a kölsch, very drinkable. Thanks to Kölschtrinker!

Bottle 50cl. @ home.
Light unclear light to medium grey amber color with a small to average, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is light to moderate malty, grain, toasted, caramel, oxidide (BBF 1209), sweet malt, light to moderate hoppy. Flavor is moderate sweet and cardboard with a average duration. Body is light to medium, texture is watery to oily, carbonation is soft. [20090823]

(3/3/08) Bottle from a trade with Koelschtrinker (thanks Roman!) shared with a drunken Scottish man at a hostel in Antwerp. Clear golden with a quickly-diminishing white head. Aroma of malt, some caramel and some hops. Sweetish and malty flavor, with bread and light hop bitterness. Light to medium body.

50 cL bottle, trade with Koelschtrinker. Pours clear orange with a lacing white head. Light hoppy and mild spiced aroma. Flavour is malty, light hops and mild spiced too. Ends with a light malty flavour and a lingering spice note.

bottle, traded with Kölschtrinker - thank you! Pale yelow colour, slightly hazy, creamy head. Intensive aroma of hops, perfumy and flowery. Medium-bodied, solid malty background with a very perfumy hoppy character.

Bottle: Pale golden, thin, but quite stable foamy layer; distinctive fruity nose (pears), kind of perfumed (flowers); sweetish (fruity) flavour; mainly fruity (pears, flowers) and a bit malty finish with a little bitterness, coming through the backdoor. A good Kölsch, in my opinion a bit too much perfumed.........

(bottle, bought at the Brauhaus in Frechen-Hücheln) Clear and pale golden colour with a mid-sized foamy white head. Malty, fruity (peach, pear) and slightly perfumed (roses) aroma with a hoppy and yeast background. Medium to light bodied, slightly sweet malty initial taste with mainly pear-fruity notes, again: roses and a dry and light bitter herbal hoppy finish. A good Kölsch with its own character.
