| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 11, 2005 Bottle: Pale golden, thin, but quite stable foamy layer; distinctive fruity nose (pears), kind of perfumed (flowers); sweetish (fruity) flavour; mainly fruity (pears, flowers) and a bit malty finish with a little bitterness, coming through the backdoor. A good Kölsch, in my opinion a bit too much perfumed......... MoritzF (4973), Bochum, Germany
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 9, 2005 (bottle, bought at the Brauhaus in Frechen-Hücheln) Clear and pale golden colour with a mid-sized foamy white head. Malty, fruity (peach, pear) and slightly perfumed (roses) aroma with a hoppy and yeast background. Medium to light bodied, slightly sweet malty initial taste with mainly pear-fruity notes, again: roses and a dry and light bitter herbal hoppy finish. A good Kölsch with its own character.
