On tap at the brewpub in Eugene. Pours cloudy copper with a lacy off-white head. Herbal citrus nose. Lightly sweet citrus taste with a grapefruit pith and pine finish.

Tap at Eugene Emeralds baseball game. Hazy copper colored pour, small white head. Aroma of citrus fruit and some light floral with some biscuit malt. Flavor was fruity, orange and light floral and biscuit as well. Kind of a run of the mill IPA but not bad on the cheap at a baseball game.

Irvine. On tap; poured a clearish, dull gold color. Aroma of citrus and flowers; quite fresh and aromatic. Flavor was of orange slices and flowers; some toasted malt. Very sessionable and orangey.

Irvine, CA, location: straightforward and rather normal - not boring; low carbonation aids smoothness and the overall flavor, which is about identical to the aftertaste, is interesting - semisweet, somewhat buttery, but dry like toast, with some sweet and bitter citrus notes; it is overall nicely done and the growler that it was in really kicks ass! I like it. It’s good.

A golden IPA with a thin white head. Good plentiful c-hops, with resinous notes, pungent and classy. In mouth, a classic California IPA with loads of C-hops, grapefruit, piney character, oily mouthfeel. A good classic example. On tap at brewpub, Jan. 17 2009.

Tap at Oregon brewpub.
Pours thin with a small head that has ’’mold spots.’’ Aroma is a nice, strong, orangey grapefruit. Flavor is uninspired, paint-by-the-numbers bitter grapefruit. Average mouthfeel. Just sits there, like a kid bored at the opera.
