Sample at the Irvine brewpub. This beer pours a dark brownish-black color with a medium thin khaki head that diminishes slowly. Roasted coffee aroma with notes of chocolate and hops. Medium, dry body with a roasty character. Flavors of coffee and baking chocolate, plus some hops. The finish is roasted coffee with a light lingering hoppy aftertaste. Pretty good overall.
