Pale clouded appearance. Mild flavor and aroma, slightly grainy, slightly lemonly. Little to impress.

Cloudy gold with no head and a couple of big spots of lace. Wheat aromas and lemons. Some notes of malts. Slightly musky. Musky wheat flavors with a lemon hanging in the background. A little bitter. Creamy mouth feel with a finish of wheat and bitterness.

Sampled draught at Steelhead Brewing, Eugene
Hazy blonde, light head. Nose of wheat & husky malt, light hops. The flavor is balanced & with a fine body. Nice.

Burlingame. The worst Steelhead brew in the sampler I had. What makes this a bad beer is that it doesn’t taste anything like a hefe. Tastes more like a bland lager than a hefe. Faint aroma. No clove or banana notes. Hazy yellow when it should be murky orange. No visible carbonation. Head not lasting, which is another sign that is contrary to style. Some diacetyl initially. Tastes actually like a mellower version of the Broadway Blonde. Disappointing.

Tap@Steelhead. German wheat yes, but i think the style is more closely linked to an American wheat. really bland, American hops, grainy, with a touch of aromatic hops, pretty clean and all that, but bland.

Light wheat aroma cuppled with light hops. A slightly foggy golfen color, crisp taste, somewhat sweet.
