Angeloregon (1864), Portland, Oregon, USA Jan 28, 2006 Updated: Mar 26, 2007If you like bittering hops and have an affinity for IPA’s, this beer is your god. harlequinn (2746), Tacoma, Washington, USA Jan 6, 2006 This was a very delicious IPA, rich and smooth with ample amounts of flavor and malt character. The hopping is so aggressive, but it never gets out of hand, it still stays balanced, right into the finish. jazz88 (2205), San Francisco, California, USA Feb 18, 2003 Tap @ the Bistro's Double IPA Festival. This was the co-champion for the event. Medium golden color with a foamy off-white head. A nice touch of dark fruit in the aftertaste with good fresh hops and more balanced than most double IPAs. Not as full an assault on the palate, which was nice. Yet with 9.9% abv it packs a punch. raphael (257), Portland, Oregon, USA Dec 2, 2006 Hops not as explosive as ifrst i had this but still very impressive mix of the piney and the citrus, in aroma as well as flavor. surprisingly light in color and crisp in body, the preponderance of hops seems almost unfai; as if the brewers knew to not try a malt presence like most others. dirtymike (2019), Manchester, New Hampshire, USA Nov 22, 2003 GABF '03 Orange in color with a small foamy head.Huge citrus aroma alcohol is balanced between the hops and malt.
