| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 24, 2009 Small offwhite head. Deep dark ruby red body. Light toffeeish fruity aroma with sugary yoghurty wild berry notes. Dry roasty licorice taste with earthy toffee and almond notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, dusty mouthfeel. Dryish yoghurty roasty wooden aftertaste with spicy notes. Overall quite dry. Feels a bit more like a lager than a dubbel, but is not bad. Much better when not cold. One of the most attractive labels but underated beers. The head was fine and lasted well, and a thin dark underbelly of beer. The smell was bright and hoppy, as was the taste. It continued to sparkle with thin warmth in the mouth and remained clean cut and distinguished but nothing of variety to keep you interested.

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 18, 2009 Aroma very subtle malt and dark dried fruit, but not in-your-face like most dubbles. A little too understated actually. Easy drinking, ABV seems about right, but hidden well. Subtle raisins, but little smell. A good malt bitterness, well balanced, and tasty. patrick767 (2051), fort wayne, Indiana, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 18, 2009 draft - Pours medium brown with a lasting off white head and good lacing. It has a yeasty aroma with malt that has a touch of caramel. The taste is sweet caramel malt, yeast, and some light bitterness toward the end. It’s medium bodied and all round a good though pretty plain dubbel. coldbrewky (736), Saugerties, New York, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 17, 2009 Draft at the local with dinner tonight. Moderatly malty and nice solid amber. Steady carbonation yeilds an even 1/8 inch head from start to finish. Nose was hard to dicern with all the popped collar college assholes rumaging about and grab assing at the bar. "Baseball Bat Fu." Malt creaminess is about the best this sucker has to offer. A bit of chalkiness stays with it all till the malt ridden finish. BiddleBrau (332), Midland Park, New Jersey, USA
