Bottled. Purchased from Bier Tempel. Hazed amber with a medium white head. Nose is citrusy with a pleasant spciciness and a mild aroma of candy sugar. Taste is fruity with sweetened malts, spices, mild floral notes and a hint of paper. Body is spritzy and carbonated but not overdone. Mild alcohol feel as well. Finishes with more spices and fruitiness along with light perfumy and flowery notes.

The color is a murky, muddy grey/brown, and not at all what I’d expect in a tripel, and the head is large, lacey, bubbly, white. Aroma is sharp, fresh, full of sugar, spice, and citrus. Hops are bold, malt is thick, texture is chewy, body is full and delicious. Quite a mouthfull! Thick flavor, in this delicious, delirious tripel, peppery, spicy, hot, alcoholic, ...and good!!! A hard brew to swallow, but a unique and rewarding experience.

[At Fete de la Biere 2004, Lausanne] A hazy orange beer with a beutiful white head. The aroma is sweet with notes of coriander. The flavor is sweet and spicy with a dry end from hops and coriander. A nice beer.

Deep-yellow color with a great fluffy froth.Good aroma’s of fresh white fruits and some spices (cloves, cinnamon and vanilla). This beer has a good mouthfeeling. In the taste there are notes of fine malts in combination with a light sweetness and a good bitterness of hops.

Golden yellow. With small head. Big honey nose. This sample tasted like unfermented honey with some clove and a sour finish. I don’t know if this was just a bad bottle but it was way to sweet even for a triple.

11.2oz bottle with cool and intricate label. Best Before date of 12 04 04. Poured into an Orval Belgian glass. Pours a cloudy blonde color, interestingly the same color of my oak table on which it sits. Nice head with good retention and some lacing. Smells...doughy green apples with a hint of cloves. Rather odd, I must say. Taste is quite good, though a bit different from anything I've had before. It's very complex. I'm at a loss to discribe much, though, but I'm trying. Definately some strong fruit esters with a hint of green apple. Cloves are apparent as is the malt. There's a lot going on here. The alcohol does make its presence known in the taste. Mouthfeel is very full and carbonated, but not overly so; it's definately not all foam and no thickness. This has some meat to it. Drinkability is good, but I want another to contemplate the flavors more and not because I can't wait to have another. A great Tripel and definately one worth seeking out.

Golden yellow with nice white head. A bit hazy. Acidic and fruity. Grape tones. Fruity flavor with tones of almonds and alcohol. Creamy with nice bitterness.

Very blond beer with a big creamy head. Interesting light yeasty and spicy aroma. Light bitter taste with an odd and a bit unpleasant finish.
