Fairly regular triple with reasonable head seeks knowledge to a sheer enjoinder. An it worked out well. Good carbon, quite bitter and, also important, not at all sweet, though not dry either. Bottle mentions that it contains ’gruut’.
The label is a saint drinking in front of a yellow church-window on black background. Ah, it is truly an abbey beer. JanEric (218), Meppel, Netherlands

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Mar 23, 2009 330ml bottle at Beer Palace in Oslo. Just a white layer on the surface. Hazy, amber body. Smell of pale malts and sweet, late fruits. Tangible flavour character of candy sweetness, backed by mild spicy hints, and yeasty fruits towards the finish. Medium bodied. Hidden alcohol. Crispy and foamy in the mouth. In danger of getting too sweet, and a rather bad choice as a partner to my Thai-pizza. Alright on its own (13.03.2009).
