Use before 25.07.11 the label says. 10 degrees pour. Fairly regular triple with reasonable head seeks knowledge to a sheer enjoinder. An it worked out well. Good carbon, quite bitter and, also important, not at all sweet, though not dry either. Bottle mentions that it contains ’gruut’. The label is a saint drinking in front of a yellow church-window on black background. Ah, it is truly an abbey beer.

Golden colour with a slight head. Aroma a bit of malt, hops. Tastes soft, some spices, bitof honey and citrus and small carbonation. A bit bitterness in the finish. For a triple a reasonable one, not good and not bad.

Draught at TND: Aroma of slight spices, light lemon, slight yeast, and slight hops. Poured yellow/gold in color with a small, creamy, white head that lasted as a film on top of the beer. Clear. Lightly sparkling. Flavor is lightly sweet. Tastes of yeast, bubblegum, sugar, toasted caramel, light pale malts, slight grains, and slight barley. Light to medium body. Thin, dry texture. Average carbonation. Light to medium sweet, yeast and caramel finish is dry. 8.5%ABV is totally hidden.

Brown bottle, 330 ml. contents and 8.7% ABV availabe at Takashimaya Department Store, Tokyo. Medium brown Color, smooth taste, and sweet flavor with fruity aroma, but intoxicated 30-min. later. An abby beer tasted with corriander and orange peer reminds me a sort of zen Buddhism cuisine.

Bottle. Golden beer with a strong head. The aroma is mildly spiced and mulled, and the flavour is spiced, mulled and gently vinous. Overall an average Belgian beer.

330ml bottle at Beer Palace in Oslo. Just a white layer on the surface. Hazy, amber body. Smell of pale malts and sweet, late fruits. Tangible flavour character of candy sweetness, backed by mild spicy hints, and yeasty fruits towards the finish. Medium bodied. Hidden alcohol. Crispy and foamy in the mouth. In danger of getting too sweet, and a rather bad choice as a partner to my Thai-pizza. Alright on its own (13.03.2009).
