shendrix (435), Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA Aug 14, 2008 I rather enjoyed this on top in Bruges. The flavor was wheat and citrus, coriander, cinnamon, nutmeg and honey, with just a touch of metallic bitterness to detract from the overall experience. thewolf (3607), Kolding, Denmark Aug 10, 2008 Bottle. my 100th tripel rating - only my 4th style to reach that number
Pours a rather deep honey-like, hazy golden with a medium, frothy, off-white head. Fine duration. Sweet fruity aroma, some metal peeping through. Grainy malts and a little oranges. Medium carbonation, fine frothy mouthfeel. Flavour is quite vinious, fine maltiness, some oranges and a really surprising (and nice) dry, hoppy finish. Some pepper, coriander and oranges in the okay aftertaste. Some weak notes of chocolate as well. DaMenace123 (240), Houston, Texas, USA Aug 8, 2008 Clear blonde color. Light yeasty aroma. Light, drinkable flavor of fruit, hops and yeast. gnoff (2567), Göteborg, Sweden Aug 3, 2008 (33 cl bottle at Haket, Göteborg) On August 1, 2008 BB 12/08/08 Cloudy orange color, white head. Acidic, sweet, nektar, lactic scent. Also red berries. Thin, sweet, red berries, lactic taste. Almost thin mouthfeel, low bitterness. NosirIwont (864), Aalborg Vestby, Denmark Jul 28, 2008 Bottle. Pours a hazy, straw yellow with a fluffy white head. Sourish aroma. Notes of stable A bit of yeast. Not very interesting. Flavour is sweet and fruity with yeast notes and a bit of alcohol. Some candy-like and honey notes, and metallic notes as it warms. Finish is slightly malty with lingering alcohol notes. Not bad, but doesn’t really do anything for me. 27-07-08.
