Draught, smallish head, hazy pale lemony colour, malty bready aroma with a touch of yeast and caramel. Lemony fruity flavour with candied fruit, medium bitterness, medium bodied, suprisingly bigger than expected, light sour aftertaste. Good wit, a bit different.

Draught at Kolme Kaisaa, Helsinki, Finland. Pale yellow colour with small white head. Sour (lactose/yoghurt) wheaty aroma with some spices. Flavour is very sour for a Witbier. Also wheat, citrus and some spices. Fizzy. Not bad but surprising. Interesting.

330ml bottle (, Helsinki)
Yellowy amber, brief fizzy head. Little aroma, touch of wheat, that’s all. Crisply carbonated, but a slightly soda-watery experience in the mouth. Gentle wheaty base, tiny touch of barky bitterness, or even liquorice-like dryness on the tongue. Some fruity spiciness too, quite interesting actually. I first thought this was just a slug-it-back summer thirst-quencher wit, but on gaining a couple of degrees the gruut comes through really nicely. Finish is liquoricey.

Light, hazy yellow colour, thin receding head. Intense herbal aroma. Thin, watery texture. Flavour is dominated too much by the herbs and spices. It doesn’t taste enough like beer!

Bottle. Pours hazy light gold with a minimal white head. Light citrus aroma. Medium body with prickly carbonation. Flavor of lemon and coriander. Perhaps a touch of clove. Finishes dryish.
