I didn’t find this to be much different from the regular Steinlager. Nothing special to say about this one. Smelled like a light lager and tasted like a light lager and came in a boring bottle with a boring label.

Very pale, clear golden straw colour with little head. Aroma is slightly honey with some grassy hop notes. Very clean and refreshing in the mouth with some light malt sweetness. Better than a lot of the aussie lagers out there, a nice lager.

Bottle from Skybar in Queenstown. There weren’t many beers to choose from, so I’d had the whole gamut other than Steinlager and Steinlager Pure, and I remember hearing this one was supposed to be better than the Classic version. It’s just okay at best. Green bottle, pours a clear pale gold with a medium-large white head. Aroma of Euro skunk, malt, grassy hops, and flavor follows suit with a carbonated, watery balance. Still smoother and easier to drink than some of its nasty green bottled peers.

No additives, no preservatives eh? No taste either unfortunately.Looks pleasant enough in the glass. Pale straw with a white foamy head that persists down the glass. Aroma is non existent. Taste is slightly sweet malt. . Don’t bother with it tho. Not offensive, but then equally, not good. What is the point of beer like this?

Bottle. Golden with a thin white head. Aromas are biscuit and butter with sweet corn. Flavours are sweet grain with corn and soda water. Fairly crisp hops with hints of caramel. Looked like it had low carbonation but was bloating. Mediocre.

Resembles water in more ways than one. But, despite it being tasteless and boring, it is still refreshing when ice cold and incredibly easy to drink. Recommended if all you’re looking for is something cold and fizzy. So simple.
