(Rating #2733)

Tap at some faux Irish pub in Ottawa. Pale golden pour with no real head at all. The nose is lightly grainy with a touch of light corn. Very, very thin bodied with almost nothing at all going on. Why does this beer exist?

Can - 500ml. Boring pale blond body with average carbonation and a decent white foamy head. Fair malty/hoppy aroma with bready and corny hints. Its hoppy taste is pretty thin and carries some grassy notes. It ends with a bad chemical/metallic finish. Useless, but still a step ahead of most mass light lagers.

Canette 500ml.

330 ml bottle from LCBO. Pours a clear, light yellow gold with fizzy white head. Aroma isn’t as bad as one might have guessed with light grassiness dominating the corn syrup. Flavour is pretty underwhelming but for a light macro it could be worse - again some decent grassy hops show up but the adjuncts are more apparent than in the nose. Light body as if you couldn’t guess. Not as terrible as I expected but pretty uninteresting.

44 cL can - triple filtered - funny name - thrice avoiding what would come from Belgium..? I would rather go with a triple fermentation. Pours clear and pale yellow with a huge white head, shirt lived head. Aroma is mild metallic and light cornish. Flat cornish and light roasted malty flavoured. Reminds me a bit about the Flensburger 4 and Becks Vier. Kicking a beer into place for a 4% alcohol mark - why?

Slight malty aroma. Pale amber, medium head. Sweetish, weak roasted grain flavour. Overcarbonated, watery. Finishes lightly bitter. Not good.
